The journey is long...but you don't have to walk alone.

  • Awareness Building

Cactus In Bloom holds events, often, in collaboration with our partner organizations to build awareness around the issue of childhood sexual abuse in hopes of increasing the resources available to CSA folks and other survivors of sexual violence. In addition, by building awareness in our culture and society, we can begin to address to ongoing prevalence of the intergenerational cycle of child sexual abuse and hopefully reduce it.

We facilitate awareness building through accessible practices:

    - Trainings & Workshops (Care Providers, Non-profits,etc.)

-Expressive Arts Workshops & Curated Public Exhibits

-Presentations about Cactus In Bloom, Childhood Sexual Abuse, and the Reproductive Journey

    - Consultation & Environmental re-Design

  • Direct Services Support

CSA survivors often live in silence especially when it comes to the challenges being experienced in the midst of family building. There are many people who are not aware they are csa survivors and/or who do not relate their current struggle in pregnancy, postpartum, or in parenting to their experience in childhood. In order to reduce shame, silence, and isolation and increase the presence of belonging and holistic wellness including mental health, it is essential to be part of a community.

Cactus In Bloom aims to create space that brings folks together to share the prickley parts of life as well as the ways in which they are blooming. We invite folks to come together to attend:

    - Workshops (topics such as family planning at the intersections of being a LGBTQIA+, BIPOC + CSA survivor)

    - Perinatal & Infant Care Course (forthcoming)

    -Planning support and resourcing

    -Community Building Events
